The South Asian country Nepal has a great deal of excellent spots to bring to the table to the sightseers.

Also, consequently, various travel aficionados come and visit the country consistently. Generally situated in Himalayas, in this country you can see lavish green glades, enormous slopes secured with backwoods and the absolute tallest and stunning mountain pinnacles of the world including Mount Everest, the most elevated purpose of the world.

Today, we are going to share a tour plan of three beautiful places of Nepal- Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan.  Here, we will start our tour from Kathmandu.

When is the best time to visit Nepal ?

Best Time to Visit the best time to visit Nepal is from October to December when the sky is clear and then you can mostly enjoy the beauty of Himalayan Mountains. Other than this period March to May is also good to visit the country.

How to travel Nepal From India ?

Kathmandu can be reached by air or bus from India. The city has an international airport the Tribhuvan International airport just 5 km away from the city Centre. From airport you can get a local cab to reach your hotel.

You can even reach Kathmandu by bus from India. From Gorakhpur or Varanasi you will get bus service to reach the Nepal border at Sunauli. From Sunauli you can avail  bus or air to reach Kathmandu. The distance of Sunauli is 185km from Kathmandu. By air it will take 42 min to reach Kathmandu from Sunauli.

However, it is the costliest option to avail. The flight fare will be around Rs2000-4000 in most of the time. You can also avail bus for this route. The fare will be cheapest and within few hundreds of rupees, but time taken will be the longest. It will be nearly 6 hours. There is also cab service available for this route. Fare will be around Rs3000 and time taken will be around 5 hours.

Day wise itinerary to Nepal trip

  • Day-1

On day-1 morning go for a sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. You can hire a local rickshaw or taxi for this tour. Taxi fare will be around 3000-4000NPR for going one place to another. Rickshaw fare varies depending upon the traffic condition of the city. In Kathmandu, you can also hire a motorbike or cycle for day tour.

 First visit Kathmandu Durbar Square. It is one of three Durbar or royal palace Squares in the Kathmandu. It is now an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next visit Hanuman Dhoka inside Durbar Square. It was once the royal palace of Malla kings and Shah Dynasty. After Hanuman Dhoka go to visit Kala Bhairav of Kathmandu. The temple is dedicated to a fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva. It is an open-air worship area and has a 12-foot tall idol of Kala Bhairav. From here go to visit Jagannath Temple. The temple is well-known for its architecture and religious significance. It is one of the oldest shrines in the city. From here go to visit Kumari Bahal. It is the palace where the Kumari or the living Goddess, lives while she is the chosen Devi or Goddess. The presence of Kumari is believed to protect the community and the region. In the evening visit the famous Thamel market of Kathmandu.

  • Day-2

On day-2 morning, first go to visit Pashupatinath Temple. It is one of the holiest Hindu shrines and one of the most visited places in Nepal. The Temple is located along the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. The magnificent temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. From here go to visit Boudhanath Stupa. Boudhanath Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The entire complex includes 50 gompas. This place is said to be the resting place of Kassapa Buddha. From there visit Swayambhunath Temple. It is located on top of the Swayambhu  Hill. Swayambhu Temple is one of the most important religious shrines in the city of Kathmandu. Next go to visit Seto (White) Gumba. It is a Buddhist Monastery in Nepal. Enjoy the lush green surroundings of this Monastery.

  • Day-3

On day-3 morning, go to Pokhara from Kathmandu. You can reach Pokhara by air, bus or car from Kathmandu. By air it will take around 40 mins to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu. But here also it is the costliest mode of travel. Bus is the cheapest option here. Pokhara is around 200km away from Kathmandu. It will take around 5 and half hours to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu by bus. But we suggest to take a cab for this trip. On your way visit the famous Manakamana Temple. It is a famous Hindu shrine of the region dedicated to Goddess Durga.

  • Day-4

On day-4 morning go for local sightseeing around Pokhara. First visit the famous Phewa Lake.  Phewa Lake is the second largest lake of Nepal. You can get stunning views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges from this place. Enjoy a boat ride here. Next visit the Shanti Stupa. It is a peace pagoda located on Anadu Hill. The place is famous for the stunning views of Phewa Lake.  From here go to visit beautiful Devi’s falls. Surrounded by lush greeneries, this is the most scenic waterfalls of Nepal and is a must visit place. Next visit the nearby Gupteshwar Mahadev cave. It is a cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Witness the self-emerging Shiva Lingam at this place.

  • Day-5

On day-5 morning, first visit Sarangkot. This is a scenic village located on Sarangkot Mountain. The place is mostly popular for gorgeous views of sunrise and sunset. You can enjoy paragliding here. From Sarangkot visit Bindhyabasini Temple. This is a beautiful temple located on top of a small hill. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga. Next visit the Seti River Gorge and enjoy the scenic beauty of the place.

  • Day-6

On day6 morning, go to Chitwan from Pokhara. Chitawan is around 150km away from Pokhara and it will take around 5 to 6 hours to reach Chitawan from Pokhara.

  • Day-7

On day-7, enjoy an elephant safari to Chitwan National Park. This is a large national park and a world heritage site. The park is home to a large variety of animals like one horned rhinos, Royal Bengal tigers and Gharial crocodiles.

  • Day-8

On day-8, return back to Kathmandu for departure. Where to Stay In all the three places the hotel charges vary from Rs 1500 to Rs 5000 (food & stay).
