Nepal's diversity
One of Nepal's biggest draws is its geographic diversity. The country's towering mountains, dense forests, and vast plains give visitors a wide range of things to see and do. Travelers can also enjoy Himalayan architecture (including iconic pagodas) in Kathmandu or Tibetan-style stupas in Pokhara. To truly get off-the-beaten path, backpackers can explore wild areas like Chitwan National Park or Mustang. (Know about Nepal)
Nepal's Cultural diversity
There are more than 100 ethnic groups, each with its own culture, language and traditional attire. Tourists who come to Nepal expecting a South Asian version of China or India will be pleasantly surprised by what they find—the country is home to Newari architecture, which many consider to be among the most beautiful in Asia. Hike through mountain trails in Kathmandu's Patan district, wander narrow lanes filled with Buddhist shrines in Bhaktapur or stroll through artist colonies to get a taste of traditional Nepali life. Explore cities like Pokhara and Chitwan National Park for even more opportunities to experience local culture.
Unique foods and drinks of Nepal
While you are in Nepal, do not forget to try out some of its authentic and traditional foods and drinks. One of them is Chhaang which is a non-alcoholic beverage made with fermented rice. While traveling around you may also come across Tukra which is Tibetan butter tea. Enjoying breakfast items in Nepal during your trips may be easier because they eat many local delights. However, if you want to relish a different kind of food in Kathmandu city while on vacation then opt for Chinese and continental cuisine as they are common in most restaurants in Nepal. Everest Base Camp Trek
One of those adventures that no human should attempt, Everest Base Camp Trek is said to be one of those attractions you must experience at least once in your lifetime. The trek starts from Lukla and goes through Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Thame, Pangboche and Namche Bazaar before reaching Tengboche. From here, you can either climb to Kala Patthar for a panoramic view of Mt Everest or go to Dingboche for acclimatization. After that comes Lobuche then finally you'll get to see Mt Everest up close. Enjoy looking at it from all different angles but don’t forget—it was Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzin Norgey Sherpa who first climbed it back in 1953.
Annapurna Circuit trek
The Annapurna Circuit is one of most popular trekking trails in Nepal, mostly because it’s relatively safe, accessible and cheap. People of all ages and fitness levels can enjoy trekking in Nepal—from a simple walk to an intense mountaineering expedition. On average, you’ll walk around five miles per day on your way through two parallel mountain ranges: The Annapurnas range and The Dhaulagiri range. Trekkers will typically spend between two and four weeks completing their trip on The Annapurnas Circuit; however, you can choose to make your hike as long or short as you like.
Everest View Trekking
Visiting Everest base camp without climbing is a dream of thousands of people. This activity can be done by you alone or with a group of friends. Experienced guides and porters are available to help you on your way. The trek lasts around two weeks with three days spent in Namche Bazaar, and four days in Lukla, before trekking to Gokyo Lake, returning to Lukla and then flying back to Kathmandu. This is an exceptional trek that gives anyone who participates in it incredible views as well as plenty of great opportunities for photos – and even selfies!
Bhaktapur Durbar Square
If you’re looking for something a little more culturally authentic than Thamel, head to Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Durbar means palace and Bhaktapur has more of these ancient structures than any other place in Nepal. In fact, there are over 1,200 buildings and temples here dating back to 1696, when a devastating earthquake leveled much of Kathmandu. Most of these buildings were constructed by Newari people who settled in Bhaktapur rather than rebuild in Kathmandu after their homes were destroyed by an earthquake. These colorful squares are UNESCO World Heritage Sites and offer a unique look at what life was like before globalization took hold across much of Asia. (Know about Nepal)
Nepal's Culture and People
While it's often called the last Shangri-La, which conjures up images of a remote, untouched Himalayan kingdom, you'll find that modern life has made itself quite comfortable in Nepal. And yet its people have kept their deep-rooted culture and traditions; indeed, they have transformed them into a vibrant part of everyday life. Add to that Nepal's beauty—which is every bit as striking as its rich history—and you've got one of Asia's most attractive destinations.
This is really amazing ❣️
