The government has opened on arrival visas for foreign tourists visiting Nepal. As the Corona transition intensified, the on arrival visa, which had been closed by the government since February 2019, was reopened.
Along with this, foreign tourists visiting Nepal will now be able to get visas from the airport.
The government has said that corona infections are declining worldwide and that the number of people completing vaccinations is increasing.
On arrival visas for foreign tourists visiting Nepal, there is no strict quarantine
At the same time, before the start of COVID, the citizens of those countries who used to come to Nepal on unarrival visas, will now be able to come on unarrival visas.
Immigration point to the foreign national who submits documents as per sub-section (1) of Article 3 of the Constitution of Nepal and proof that the test report of COVID-19 is negative within 72 hours of entering Nepal after completing the vaccination against COVID-19 who can get non-arrival visa in Nepal as per the prevailing law. Unarrival visa will be issued and entry will be allowed to enter Nepal by land if the report is negative after testing the antigen.
Similarly, in case of citizens of countries other than India entering Nepal by land, the amount of vaccination against COVID-19 has been completed, test report of COVID-19 has been negative within 72 hours of entering Nepal, visa has been obtained for entry into Nepal from the concerned mission abroad. If the report is negative after testing the antigen, it will be allowed to enter Nepal by land.
If the test cannot be done at the immigration point, such test has to be done at the hotel where you are staying.
After the first wave of Covid subsided, tourists were allowed to come to Nepal with visas from the Nepalese embassy. However, after the second wave started spreading from April, the government had stopped tourist traffic along with international flights.
The government has decided to ease the movement of foreign tourists as the havoc of Covid is lessening.
